Work Experience

SENIOR WIND FARM DESIGN ENGINEER.

Responsible for the new sites identification, wind data analysis, wind turbines layout preparation and energy assessment, planning and design of wind farms in Spain and Australia (2001-2007): 

+ Site Identification, Met Mast Installation, Wind Data Analysis, Energy Assessment, WTG Layout, EIA support: Portland Wind Farms (Cape Bridgewater WF, Cape Nelson WF and Cape Sir William Grant WF), Yaloak Wind Farm, Crowlands Wind Farm, Clements Gap Wind Farm, Freemantle Wind Farm, Port Vincent Wind Farm, Cambrai Wind Farm, Keyneton Wind Farm, Gladstone Wind Farm, Tenterfield Wind Farm, Robbins Island (TAS)

+ Micrositing and Follow up of Wind Farm Construction Activities: Yambuk Wind Farm (30MW), Challicum Hills (52.5MW), Clements Gap (67.5MW) and Portland Wind Farms (+180MW)

+ Participation in the Environmental Impact Assessment of Wind Farms: Calculation of noise emissions, shadow flicker effect and interference of wind farms with microwave links, creation of realistic photomontages. 

+ Power Curve Verification and assessment of the energy performance of operating wind farms.

+ Follow up of construction activities of the Wind Farms: Liaison with electrical engineers, grid engineers, construction managers, environmental managers, land owners, wind turbines suppliers, external consultants and subcontractors.

+ Due Diligence of External Wind Farms in Fiji and Brazil

Renewable Energy and Sustainability, Project Manager & Consultant.

Project Manager and Consultant in the fields of construction management, renewable energy, energy access, energy efficiency, climate change and sustainable development (2017-2023).

+ Project management of clean energy and sustainability consultancy projects for IFIs (ex. UNDP, WB, ADB, ICRC...)

+ Management of various consulting assignments related to the assessment, design and development of clean energy projects: ex. solar PV power plants (rooftop, ground mounted and solar floating PV systems), mini-grids, BESS, e-mobility, Green Hydrogen, Hybrid Systems and Wind Power Projects.

+ Management and participation in project identification, demand assessment, techno-economic analysis and socio-environmental studies, conceptual design studies, feasibility studies, engineering studies, Owner’s engineering services and technical due diligence assessments for renewable energy projects

+ Energy and carbon impact assessment, GHG emissions inventory, identification and simulation of emission reduction and energy saving opportunities and scenarios.

+ Prepare and deliver trainings, workshops and presentations for public and private stakeholders.

+ Drafting of Technical Papers & Guidelines on Renewable Energy Systems, Sustainable Energy and Climate Change.

+ Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, prepare new energy and climate change proposals and detailed bids for tenders.

+ Solar PV System Design, Implementation, Supervision, Monitoring and Evaluation.
